How close is your channel to YouTube monetization?
Enter your counts from YouTube Studio. See the next milestone for fan funding and the separate milestone for ad revenue.
Your Studio counts
Find these figures in YouTube Studio → Earn. No channel connection required.
Milestone 01
Expanded YPP: fan funding & Shopping
In eligible regions, this earlier application tier requires 500 subscribers, 3 valid public uploads in 90 days, and either 3,000 valid public watch hours in 365 days or 3 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days.
Milestone 02
Ad revenue & YouTube Premium
This separate threshold requires 1,000 subscribers and either 4,000 valid public watch hours in 365 days or 10 million valid public Shorts views in 90 days.
This is a count comparison, not a YouTube approval or earnings lookup. Country availability, policies, two-step verification, AdSense, contract modules, age and feature rules, and YouTube review still apply.
Check the official requirements
YouTube Studio → Earn is the source of truth for your channel's eligible counts and application status. Thresholds and available features can change.
Grow your audience
Build a release audience beyond the threshold.
Explore Dynamoi's YouTube promotion tools for music releases. Watch hours and Shorts views from paid ad campaigns do not count toward YPP eligibility.
Common questions
- Does this check whether my channel is monetized?
- No. It compares the numbers you enter with YouTube's published thresholds. Only YouTube Studio shows your actual application and approval status.
- Do Shorts views count toward watch hours?
- Use the separate valid public watch hours and valid public Shorts views shown in YouTube Studio. The two thresholds are alternative routes, not numbers to add together.
- Does reaching the threshold guarantee revenue?
- No. YouTube checks region, policies, account requirements, and your channel during review. Individual monetization features have additional requirements.
- Do views from paid ad campaigns count toward YPP?
- No. YouTube excludes watch hours and Shorts views gained through ad campaigns from YPP eligibility thresholds. Use the qualifying figures in YouTube Studio → Earn.
