How we research and rank
Dynamoi publishes best-of lists and comparisons of music services, and sells some of the services in them. So every list follows four rules you can check: published criteria and weights, a source and check date for every fact, first-hand tests that cost $0, and a stated weakness for every product, Dynamoi included.
This standard took effect on October 19, 2026. Lists published before then are being rebuilt to it; until a list shows its criteria and weights, read its order as an editorial judgment.

Criteria and published weights
Every list scores each product against a few criteria, and shows those criteria and their weights on the page.
Criteria follow the decision the reader is making. A distribution list weighs things like price and billing, what you keep from each sale, control over your releases and catalog, and how the service connects to the rest of your work. A smart-link list weighs release tools, measurement, fan follow-up and price.
The weights add up to 100. Each product gets a grade from 0 to 5 on each criterion, based on its own documentation, its published prices and our free tests. A criterion earns its weight times the grade, divided by 5; the points add up to a total out of 100, and the list is ordered by that total.
| Criterion | Weight | Grade | Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price and billing | 30 | 4 / 5 | 24 |
| What you keep from each sale | 30 | 3 / 5 | 18 |
| Release and catalog control | 25 | 5 / 5 | 25 |
| Connected workflow | 15 | 2 / 5 | 6 |
| Total | 100 | 73 |
Totals within five points of each other count as a tie; each product's "best for" line then says who it suits. Dynamoi ranks first only where its total leads; in categories it doesn't serve, such as playlist-curator submission, it isn't ranked.
A score measures how well a product's documented offer fits the reader the list names. It doesn't measure campaign results, customer satisfaction or security. When a company doesn't publish a fact, the list says "not published": that can lower a transparency grade, but it isn't treated as proof the feature is missing. The lists use no star ratings.
A source and a date for every fact
Every price, fee and feature claim about another company links to where we read it, with the date we checked it.
Sources are the company's own pricing pages, terms and help documents first, then other primary sources when the company doesn't publish the fact. Facts never come from memory or from an AI answer, and lists quote no unsourced testimonials. AI research tools help find and organize sources; a fact reaches the page only when it traces to a cited source or a dated screenshot.
Each list shows when it was last checked. If a company changes a price after that date, its own page is right and ours is out of date.
First-hand testing at $0
We test products ourselves only on free plans and free trials, and keep dated screenshots of what we saw.
Tests use free tiers and trials that take no payment and create no charge. Each screenshot records the plan, the country and the date, with personal details removed. We don't launch paid ads, buy credits, submit songs to curators or contact agencies as a customer to test them.
A free test can show setup, features, plan limits, permissions, reporting and what happens when you downgrade. It can't show paid ad delivery, payout speed, support quality or campaign results, so lists make no claims about those from a test. Services with no free entry are described from their own published material.
Weaknesses for every product
Every product on a list, Dynamoi included, gets a stated weakness and a "best for" line.
Weaknesses come from the same sources as everything else: limits a company documents, its prices and what we saw in testing. Competitors' real advantages stay on the page, including where they beat Dynamoi. For Dynamoi, that means saying plainly that its managed campaigns run on Meta and YouTube only, and that its distribution is by application, with minimum follower and listener counts and no guarantee of approval.
Who publishes these pages
Dynamoi publishes these pages and sells some of the services they compare. Every list says so at the top.
Dynamoi's own entry is marked "Publisher of this page." The best-of lists carry no affiliate links and no paid placements. Pages written about our own product carry no review-rating markup for search engines.
Trevor Loucks, Dynamoi's founder, is the named author and reviewer of every list and comparison.
Campaign benchmarks
We plan to publish benchmarks from Dynamoi campaigns. None are published yet.
Benchmarks will use only data collected after our privacy policy explicitly covers aggregated, anonymized use; older campaign data won't be reused.
- Each figure is a median or a range across many campaigns, never one artist or account.
- No client or campaign counts, and no spend or cost figures.
- Each benchmark states its definition, date range, attribution window and limits.
- Numbers reported by Meta or Google are labeled as platform-reported, not as verified streams or followers.
- No benchmark is a forecast for your release.
Quarterly refresh
Every list and comparison is checked again at least once a quarter.
A refresh re-reads every cited source, updates prices and features, repeats free tests where a product changed, and scores again. The last-checked date moves with each refresh; the published date doesn't.
Corrections
If something on a list is wrong or out of date, email support@dynamoi.com with the page and a source that shows the correct fact.
We check it against the source, fix the page and update its checked date. Companies on a list can use the same address. Support replies within 24 hours.
Questions
Does Dynamoi always rank itself first?
No. Dynamoi ranks first only where its weighted total leads. In categories it doesn't serve, such as playlist-curator submission, it isn't ranked at all.
Why are there no star ratings?
Stars hide the trade-off. Each list publishes its criteria and weights and gives every product a best-for reason and a weakness, so you can weigh the decision for your own release.
Can a company pay to be listed or ranked higher?
No. Dynamoi's best-of lists carry no paid placements and no affiliate links.
