Music Promotion Companies: 10 Agencies by Type [2026]

9 min read

Key takeaway

Pick a music promotion company by the job you need done: press coverage, radio play, short-form video, or fan-building. Of the ten agencies below, only Cyber PR publishes a price (campaigns from $1,000); the others quote per project, so independent artists on smaller budgets usually start with a self-serve option instead.

Which type of music promotion company do you need?

  • You want press coverage and interviews: hire a music PR agency (Shore Fire Media, Biz 3, Cyber PR). PR earns attention; it does not buy streams.
  • You want radio play: Planetary Group runs radio campaigns, including non-commercial and public radio.
  • You make dance or electronic music: genre specialists (Quite Great, Additive PR) know the DJ, club and dance press world better than generalists.
  • You want a song to move on TikTok, Reels or Shorts: creator agencies (Creed Media, Round, Hundred Days Digital) pay creators to use your track.
  • You want listeners on Spotify or YouTube now: paid ads reach people directly. You can run them yourself, hire an agency, or use a managed service such as Dynamoi.

Most agencies here work with labels and established artists. If you are early in your career, read our guide to marketing music without a label before paying a retainer.

Music PR agencies

Shore Fire Media

Shore Fire lists public relations, strategic communications, brand messaging, content strategy, award campaigns, partnerships and event planning. It represents music alongside arts and culture, estates, brands, institutions and sports.

Best for: established artists, catalogue and estate projects, and award campaigns where reputation matters. No pricing is published. shorefire.com

Biz 3

Kathryn Frazier founded Biz 3 in Chicago in 1996; it now has publicists in Chicago and Los Angeles and a roster of more than 200 bands, rappers, authors, filmmakers and visual artists. Alongside publicity it offers creative direction, brand sponsorship, sync placements and consulting. Clients it lists include The Weeknd, Daft Punk, Skrillex, Migos, Megan Thee Stallion, Run The Jewels, J. Cole and A$AP Rocky, and labels such as Quality Control, OWSLA and Mad Decent.

Best for: hip-hop, electronic and crossover artists who want coverage beyond music-only outlets. No pricing is published. biz3.net

Cyber PR

Cyber PR runs 4, 6, 10 and 12-week music publicity campaigns for independent musicians, with "single campaigns" starting at $1,000. It shows you a dashboard of who is being pitched and their feedback, accepts card payments in instalments, and represents a limited number of artists at a time. It makes no promise of coverage.

Best for: independent artists who want a fixed-length press campaign with a known starting price. cyberprmusic.com

Radio promotion

Planetary Group

Planetary Group offers radio promotion (AAA, non-commercial, public radio and NPR, plus live radio sessions), online publicity, Spotify and YouTube playlisting, social media management, international promotion and consulting. Clients it lists include Chappell Roan, Soccer Mommy, $uicideBoy$, Arlo Parks and The Last Dinner Party. Pricing is by quote.

Planetary publishes a scam warning about people impersonating it over WhatsApp. Contact any agency through its own website, never through an unsolicited message.

Best for: indie, alternative and Americana releases that suit college, non-commercial and public radio. planetarygroup.com

Dance and electronic music PR

Quite Great

UK agency Quite Great says it has helped artists since 1996. Its club PR service targets blogs, online magazines, radio shows, DJ platforms, playlists and club tastemakers for DJs, producers, remixers and dance labels, across house, techno, drum and bass, garage, trance and bass music. It builds each campaign around your budget rather than a fixed price. Clients it names include The Human League, Jean Michel Jarre, Brian Eno and Ministry of Sound.

Best for: UK and European dance releases that need DJ support and specialist press. quitegreat.co.uk

Additive PR

Additive PR does "PR and promo for dance and electronic music": online and print campaigns for artists, venues and labels. Past and present clients it lists include Ministry of Sound, Hospital Records, Get Physical, Poker Flat, Masters at Work, Steve Bug and DJ Zinc. No pricing is published.

Best for: dance labels and artists who want a specialist that only works in electronic music. additivepr.com

Creator and social media agencies

Creed Media

Creed Media lists performance marketing, audience insights, cultural trend analysis, concept development, influencer marketing, content production and social media management. It works with record labels and brands; logos on its site include Warner Music, Sony Music, Universal Music, Atlantic, Interscope, Republic, Def Jam, Spotify and Red Bull.

Best for: label-scale releases that need influencer campaigns. No pricing or minimum budget is published. creedmedia.com

Round

Round runs creator campaigns (including always-on catalogue campaigns), produces content and manages channels, offers digital media services (ROI-focused campaign management, tracking and attribution setup, and real-time reporting), and says its campaigns run on "proprietary technology" for trend and creator analysis. Its case studies include Bad Gyal, CMAT, Shaboozey, Chappell Roan and DJO.

Best for: label and well-funded independent releases that want creator seeding, content and paid media from one team. thisisround.com

Hundred Days Digital

Founded in 2022, Hundred Days Digital runs music campaigns on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts through influencer marketing, fan pages and content creation. It states: "We don't guarantee minimum views for campaigns because our performance is 100% organic and real."

Best for: releases where short-form video is the main bet. No pricing is published. hundreddaysdigital.com

Artist marketing and fan-building

Venture Music

Venture Music covers artist identity and branding, content and creative, social media strategy, digital advertising and streaming growth, fanbase development, and release campaigns across social, ads, email and SMS. Its recent work includes Zach Top, Margo Price, ERNEST, Skillet and Walker Montgomery. It offers a free brand alignment audit; no pricing is published.

Best for: artists, especially in country and rock, who want one team to build brand, content and fanbase together. venturemusic.com

Self-serve alternatives to an agency

SongTools

SongTools is a platform, not an agency: you run campaigns yourself. Its playlisting and its SongFly ads (Facebook, Instagram and TikTok) start at $10 a day, and its landing page, file storage and blog tools are free.

Best for: artists who want to test small budgets and manage everything themselves. songtools.io

Dynamoi (our service)

Dynamoi sits between doing it yourself and hiring an agency. You sign up online, set a budget, and our team runs managed Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google (YouTube) ad campaigns in Dynamoi's own ad accounts, so you do not need an ad account, pixel or bidding setup. Every Spotify campaign includes a Smart Link that shows which platforms and audiences respond. Starter is $25/month per artist. Every plan includes monthly campaign credit. New artists get extra campaign credit the first time they subscribe. Ads are paid for in advance. Your campaign credit is used first, then any campaign funds you've added, then your saved card.

Dynamoi runs ads with Smart Links; it is not a PR agency, and it cannot guarantee streams or algorithmic playlist placement. If you need press or radio, hire one of the agencies above; ads and PR work well together. See how Meta ads drive Spotify listeners.

What does a music promotion company cost?

Only Cyber PR publishes a price: campaigns from $1,000 over 4 to 12 weeks. Quite Great builds its plan around your budget, and none of the others publish pricing. Before you ask for quotes:

  1. Set your total budget first. Our budget allocation guide splits spend across ads, content and PR.
  2. Ask what the fee covers. For creator and ad campaigns, ask how much of the fee pays creators or buys media, and how much is the agency's management fee.
  3. Compare against outcomes you can measure. Our ROI benchmarks show what to track per channel.

Questions to ask before signing

  1. Which channels are included, and which are not? Get the platforms (press, radio, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, email) in writing. "Full-service" means different things to different agencies.

  2. What will the reports show? Ask for a sample report. Outreach logs, coverage lists, saves and follows are useful; impressions alone are not.

  3. Who owns the accounts and assets? You should own your ad accounts, pixels, landing pages, email lists and the content made for you.

  4. Can I see recent campaigns like mine? Ask for two or three campaigns from the last 12 months at your stage and in your genre. Big names from years ago do not prove current fit.

  5. Who works on my account day to day? Ask who runs your campaign (not who pitched it) and how many other clients they handle.

Red flags

  • Guaranteed streams, followers or playlist placements. Spotify says paid services that guarantee streams or playlist placement break its terms.
  • Contact through WhatsApp or social messages claiming to be a known agency.
  • Reports that show only impressions and reach.
  • No clear ownership of accounts, audiences or content.
  • Contracts that hide cancellation terms.

Sources and method

Last checked: 2026-10-16. Scope: Services, published pricing, founding dates, offices, named clients, and guarantee statements for the ten music promotion agencies and the self-serve SongTools platform compared here, plus Dynamoi's own pricing and managed-ads model. Method: Each fact was checked against the company's own website on the review date, and every site was confirmed to load. Client names are limited to those the agency itself lists. Where an agency publishes no price, the article says so rather than estimating one.

We Generate was removed from this list in October 2026 because its website no longer describes its services or clients.
