Amuse review: a low fee, then 25% when you stop paying

Amuse is a low-cost yearly distributor, $23.99 a year for one artist, that passes through 100% of ordinary royalties while you pay. Its distinctive term is the exit: your music stays live after the plan ends, but Amuse then keeps 25%. It scores 76 out of 100 on our documentation-based method.

Is Amuse worth it?

It depends on how long you plan to pay. Amuse is worth it if you release regularly and want your music to stay live after you stop paying: Artist is $23.99 a year as of October 2026 with 100% of ordinary royalties, and after the plan ends Amuse keeps 25%. It is a weaker fit if you need Content ID, which costs 15% on Artist. If you have 10,000 monthly listeners and 1,000 Spotify followers, Dynamoi distribution pays you 90% of net receipts with nothing upfront, and you can run managed Meta and YouTube campaigns from the same account.

Rights, AI and promotion

What Amuse will accept, and what it offers beyond delivery.

Who Amuse suits

Independent artists who release regularly, like a mobile-capable workflow, and want the option to keep their catalog live after they stop paying, accepting the commission that then applies. Plus and Pro matter when collaborator splits and Content ID charges change the math.

Already at 10,000 monthly listeners and 1,000 Spotify followers? Dynamoi also offers distribution by application, with no upfront fee and 10% of Net Receipts.

Amuse questions artists ask

Is Amuse distribution free?

No. New releases need a paid plan, starting with Artist at $23.99 a year. Some account and Promote link features are free, but they are not free distribution. Existing music can stay live after a plan expires, with a 25% royalty commission.

What happens if I stop paying Amuse?

Your existing music stays live after the paid period ends, but Amuse takes 25% of royalties on releases you own. New releases and paid features stop, and YouTube monetization is removed. Split charges can also change with the release owner's plan.

Can Amuse release my song in 24 hours?

Amuse advertises an ASAP 24-hour option, but the release still goes through review and every store runs its own process. Scheduled dates have lead times that depend on your plan. For a fixed launch date, leave a buffer instead of relying on the headline.

Does Amuse let me keep 100% of royalties?

On an active plan, ordinary distribution royalties are 100%. Content ID, split recipients and expired plans are treated differently: the Artist plan lists a 15% Content ID fee, and releases whose owner has stopped paying incur 25%.

Can Amuse promote my release with ads?

Yes. The paid Promote add-on includes a Meta ad workflow for Instagram and Facebook. It is separate from distribution, and Meta bills the advertising budget directly. An ad tool is not evidence that a release will earn streams.

Does Amuse accept AI-generated music?

Amuse allows eligible AI music but rejects impersonation and AI covers. AI content is excluded from some destinations and claiming services, so check the exact stores and monetization you need, not just whether the upload is accepted.
