LANDR review: cheap Basic, but release dates cost extra

LANDR Distribution costs $24 a year on Basic or $45 on Pro, and passes through 100% of ordinary royalties while you subscribe. Your music stays live after you cancel, with a small administration deduction. Basic has no custom release dates, so a planned launch needs Pro. It scores 78 out of 100 on our documentation-based method, level with UnitedMasters at the top of our list.

Is LANDR distribution worth it?

It depends on whether you schedule releases. LANDR is worth it if you want your music to stay live after you cancel: Basic is $24 a year as of October 2026 with 100% of ordinary royalties, and Pro, at $45, adds custom release dates. Basic alone suits ASAP releases. If you have 10,000 monthly listeners and 1,000 Spotify followers, Dynamoi distribution pays you 90% of net receipts with nothing upfront, and you can run managed Meta and YouTube campaigns from the same account.

LANDR questions artists ask

How much does LANDR distribution cost?

Distribution Basic is $24 a year and Distribution Pro is $45. Pro is required for a custom release date, so price a scheduled launch on Pro. Studio bundles are separate products with their own billing terms.

Is LANDR better than DistroKid?

Both offer low-cost yearly distribution, with future release dates on a higher tier. LANDR keeps music live after cancellation with a possible small administration deduction, while DistroKid sells per-release protection. We did not measure either as faster or more reliable.

Will LANDR remove my music if I cancel?

No. LANDR says releases can stay live after cancellation. Its pricing terms allow up to $0.50 a month in administration deductions from royalties when you have no Premium account.

Does LANDR take a percentage of royalties?

Not on ordinary recording royalties while you subscribe. YouTube Content ID has a 20% commission, and withdrawal fees vary by payment route.

Can I test LANDR distribution for free?

You can create a free account and build a draft release up to submission. There is no free distribution trial; the submit step needs a subscription.

Does LANDR accept unlimited AI music?

No. The AI policy caps AI-generated tracks at 20 a month on Basic and 60 on Pro, with rights and disclosure rules. AI covers are excluded, and some destinations and claiming routes are unavailable for AI music.
