Ditto review: $19 a year, with a catch at cash-out

Ditto is one of the cheapest yearly distributors at $19 a year for one artist, and it passes through 100% of ordinary royalties. The catch is cash and catalog: release owners need an active subscription to withdraw, and unprotected Starter releases are at risk if you stop paying. It scores 74 out of 100 on our documentation-based method.

Is Ditto Music worth it?

It depends on whether you will keep paying. Ditto is worth it for the lowest yearly price: Starter is $19 a year as of October 2026, with 100% of ordinary royalties. It is a poor fit if you might stop paying, because release owners need an active plan to withdraw and unprotected Starter releases can be removed. If you have 10,000 monthly listeners and 1,000 Spotify followers, Dynamoi distribution pays you 90% of net receipts with nothing upfront, needs no renewal to stay live, and can add managed Meta and YouTube campaigns.

Disclosure: Dynamoi publishes this review and offers apply-only distribution. We have no affiliate relationship with Ditto.

Rights, AI and promotion

What Ditto will accept, and what it offers beyond delivery.

Who Ditto suits

Price-sensitive artists who release regularly, on Starter's low yearly fee or Pro's included release protection and extra tools. Split recipients can use free accounts; release owners need to understand the subscription rule for withdrawals.

Already at 10,000 monthly listeners and 1,000 Spotify followers? Dynamoi also offers distribution by application, with no upfront fee and 10% of Net Receipts.

Ditto questions artists ask

How much is a Ditto subscription?

Starter is $19 a year, Pro $59 a year and Labels from $109 a year. Artist limits and features differ, so choose the plan that fits your roster. Release protection and optional collections change the practical comparison.

Is Ditto good for distribution?

Ditto suits frequent releases when a low yearly price matters most. Weigh its owner-withdrawal rule and Starter's cancellation risk alongside its splits and promotion tools. We didn't test its support or delivery, so we don't score them.

Will Ditto remove my songs if I stop paying?

Unprotected releases are at risk of removal after nonpayment, though Ditto says removal isn't necessarily immediate. Release Protection, included on Pro and Labels, keeps enrolled releases live. It doesn't by itself let the owner withdraw without renewing.

Can I withdraw Ditto royalties without a subscription?

Release owners need an active subscription to withdraw. Collaborators paid through Split Pay are an exception: they can accept and withdraw their shares from free accounts.

Does Ditto offer a free distribution trial?

No. A free account can explore the Release Builder, but completing a release and delivering it to stores needs a subscription.

Can I upload AI music through Ditto?

Ditto allows AI-made music that meets its rights, identity and anti-spam rules, with AI declarations in the release flow. It warns that some stores may reject fully AI releases. Licensing your music for AI training is a separate opt-in.
