Smart Campaigns promote Spotify content using managed advertising and a Smart Link that tracks engagement like saves, clicks, and service actions when available.

What you configure

In the Smart Campaign wizard you set:

  • A Spotify URL (track, album, or playlist)
  • Ad networks (Meta Ads, Spotify Beta, or both)
  • Location targeting (global or selected countries)
  • Ad copy (AI-generated or manual)
  • Media assets (at least one upload, social post, or generated video)
  • Budget (daily or total)

Ad networks

Smart Campaigns deliver on two self-serve networks: Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) and Spotify Beta (Spotify Ads). You select one or both in the wizard. Meta is the default and supports global or multi-country targeting. Spotify Beta runs one supported country per campaign, needs square artwork plus an artist profile image, and is reviewed before launch.

Google, TikTok, and Snapchat are not available for self-serve Smart Campaign delivery.

Tracking

Smart Campaigns use a Smart Link to route listeners to their preferred service and measure downstream actions. Free Smart Link analytics remain useful even before a paid campaign starts.
